So, he just walked himself into jail?
The police didn't arrest him or anything?

He did time already because they knew he had manipulated the Baxter trial. But because we never got to see his trial and what exactly he did time for, we're left to wonder what the big revelation during the Eugene trial was that got him into prison again.

Well, he did say his son was who killed Rocco and he helped cover it up.

But my question is that since he's going back to jail, for whatever it is, shouldn't he be processed through regular channels?
He just walked himself into jail like he was checking into a hotel.

But he had confessed to that coverup already upon arrest and even implicated the mayor.
Why he walked into the prison? You can check in yourself. It doesn't have to be by the police.
