Olivia (AA)/ Serena (GG) - Both have a more glam/sexy/rock and roll style/aesthetic (as compared to Leila/Blair). Both are (or were) party girls, into alcohol and drugs. Both slept with best friend's boyfriend and then distanced themselves from best friend out of a sense of guilt/shame.

Leila (AA)/ Blair (GG) - both have a more classic style/aesthetic. Both of them were betrayed by their best friend and boyfriend (who cheated together). Both have an underlying sadness/loneliness to them. Both lost a parent (hear me out... while Blair's dad did not die like Leila's mother did, her dad did leave the family and Blair grieved it as a loss as she felt abandoned and separate from him for a long time). Both are considered the most popular girl at their school.

Asher (AA)/Nate (GG) - Leila/Blair's boyfriend. Both have a dad that is sorta machiavellian or douchey. Both of their families lost all their money and tried to cover it up and appear to maintain their lifestyle.

Spencer (AA)/Dan (GG) - Both come from a lower SES and are attending a more elite HS with peers who are in a higher SES. Both are intelligent/talented yet struggle to fit in as they navigate between two worlds.

Jordan (AA)/Chuck (GG) - This one is kind of a stretch, but I did notice that they both have daddy issues. They are both perpetually trying to please a father that they perceive as being distant or unloving.

Grace (AA)/Rufus (GG) - Here the genders are swapped, but both are single parents (to Spencer/Dan). both have two kids. Both have a secret past with someone from the other world.
