DC Films is quickly becoming the new envy of Hollywood.
Sigh , another shill post by queen, why are they becoming the new envy of hollywood? They have released 2 movies this year , one flopped and the other, a stand alone movie , is no doubt a success, its took them years to get to this point, its been a complete mess until the last 12 months, but if you look around the envy of Hollywood is Marvel, unless you have your head up your ass which sometimes i think you do.
I actually belive BOP will disappoint, Aquaman 1 was meh so i dont think 2 will perform aswell, these movies wont compete with Marvels slate thats for sure, sorry qyeen this is another desperate post that will come back to haunt you.

I think if DC wants to make a mark, they should shoot for more story-first, sequel-later ideas like Joker (sequel wasn't in the machinery until after this one did gangbusters). They should focus less on franchises and extended universes and more on unique ideas.

Honestly it sounds like Black Adam is gonna be real expensive. If reports are accurate, the JSA is supposed to be introduced and it has been confirmed Black Adam will fight Hawkman.
shareIf it is as expensive as most Marvel films(I.e. 150 million and up), I'd bet a Black Adam movie with Dwayne Johnson will have a much better chance at recouping that cost than say...a Black Widow film.

shareThe first one was a dud with both critics and fans. It made money in the first few weeks off an awesome trailer but once people began realizing how crappy the movie was, it dropped quickly which is why James Gunn's SS is a reboot and the other follow-up is a Harley vehicle that removes all other characters from the previous film, including the Joker since Jared Leto's version of the character had been endlessly mocked. Why would people be interested in revisiting the franchise?

DC Films heading to an absolute...As the 2019 Film season comes to a close and we head into 2020, You've staked your claim and laid down a marker via this post that DC Films is, in your words, "an absolute Box-Office Supernova" Marvel had 3 movies in 2018 for ($4.04 Billion WW) and 2 movies released in 2019 for ($3.93 Billion WW). No one knows if you consider those numbers Super-Nova-ish or not but let's just say they are not according to "your gut".

Okay...The Eternals MAY exceed the box office of BOP...MAYBE..but I'm sure the budget will be INFINITELY higher than BOP'S 75 milion. I also will go "out on a limb" and say that WW84 will be the biggest CBM grosser of 2020 and it just gets bigger for DC Films in the years that follow with Batman , James Gunn's Suicide Squad, etc.

Rather reluctantly you understand that The Eternals is a much bigger IP for Marvel than Birds Of Prey is for DC. I only threw IP into your mix because it is a concept that you turned to in order to attempt to denigrate Disney's or Marvel's financial potential of their characters and properties.😎 Marvel is willing to invest in The Eternals in order to grow those characters into a valued franchise and new,fresh story-lines. It remains to be seen if Warner/DC has that kind of faith in BOP (besides Harley Quinn/Margot Robbie) to establish future potential. You're hoping for a Joker-esque type of bravura performance for HQ and BOP and it may very well happen, (I personally don't think it will be more than an average character study, and you are instead seriously downplaying The Eternals and Marvel.)
