Okay...The Eternals MAY exceed the box office of BOP...MAYBE..but I'm sure the budget will be INFINITELY higher than BOP'S 75 milion. I also will go "out on a limb" and say that WW84 will be the biggest CBM grosser of 2020 and it just gets bigger for DC Films in the years that follow with Batman , James Gunn's Suicide Squad, etc.
Joker 2 and Aquaman 2 anybody?
Lol
Looks like we are going to have to break this down piece by piece just to analyze just
WTFH!!! Do you honestly still hold your statement with any bit of conviction that BOP May exceed the Box Office of Marvel's Eternals? It
MAY be possible that the opening weekend of Marvel's Eternals will exceed the entire theatrical run of BOP. Allow me to repeat myself. Marvel's Eternals Opening Weekend may very well exceed the entire theatrical run of BOP. Do I really think that will happen? No, not really. But it is fun teasing you with that fake fun fact. 🤣
Yes, the budget for Marvel's Eternals will be higher (not INFINITELY nor EXPONENTIALLY higher) than BOP's budget and the difference will be that Marvel's budget will be better spent. Marvel as a studio will make better decisions on their investment in a new IP.
I continue to look quizzically at your stance in believing that Warner/DC had righted their studio ship to the point that "Great Things" are guaranteed on the horizon. You're real position is in your narrative that you feel that Marvel/Disney are done, toast, Kaput, washed-up and is now a "Has-Been" of a studio and company. What you proclaim to be a Half-Empty glass many others see as Marvel/DC filling a whole new glass next to the existing full glass-set.
If you'd stop
wishing that Marvel/Disney were doomed and started focusing just on Warner/DC you wouldn't make such egregiously wrong posts. I thought that BOP would have a solid theatrical run but at no time did I think it would be a Billion Dollar or even a Half-Billion dollar movie. If BOP musters up $350 Million WW it could still be in good shape financial shape.
Oh I forgot:
Congratulations to Joker and Phoenix for their Oscar nominations and the win. That is indeed a feather in the caps of Warner and DC. Even with the starts and stops of their financial efforts they manage to produce something they can hang their hats on.
