I think (from what you said) you can only appreciate popcorn/video game movies.
Which is sad...
I hope you are very young, so you have a chance to appreciate art in more then one form one day.
I think this movie is great, not boring at all.
shareTo be honest i was surprisingly underwhelmed by the film despite Joaquin Phoenix's convincing portrayal of a mentally damaged individual but the OP sounds like a post deliberately meant to trigger negative responses.
Having now seen it I don't particularly get the over the top negative or positive hype surrounding the film. The narrative is general enough that this film could have worked without any Joker/ Batman comic references.
>>Was watching this online and this film was was so boring. I'm so used to face paced films so maybe that's why..
Nice try being a troll there, buddy.
Then you missed the end where Arthur got redeemed and fit back into society, it went like this:
"Here Arthur have a Snickers.
Why?
Because you go crazy as a coot when you're hungry."
Was a very poignant moment and the wind back scenes as he went from looking like Joker back to Arthur were amazing, probably win a best Cinematography Oscar for that scene alone. Sure if he had have taken the Snickers from those 3 guys on the subway or from Randall when he and Gary visited him in his apartment it would have made for a shorter film, however nowhere near as powerful.
Adorable :)
shareThere was a girl sitting next to me who kept texting on her phone all throughout the movie and talking to whoever sat on the other side of her, whereas I was simply riveted - I guess some people just don't understand this level of film-making.
Bad luck... I got a similar person on my 2nd viewing... talkin to his girlfriend, texting etc...
Sucks but the place was packed...
Had to try to ignore.
Some people are just degenerates.
Try and think of it in a positive light... you are a better person, pity them.
