European critics love Joker more than American press, surprised?

but it also has a 7.87 rating.
so critics that are giving it a positive review are giving it extremely high ratings.
just look at the top critics rating.
it only has a 47% tomato-meter rating from top critics.
yet from those critics, it has a 7.43 rating.
compare that to other films that have a similar tomato rating:

just as interesting to me - compare it to the recent spider-man film:

so even though critics were more divided on joker, it has a higher avg rating.
Metacritic only has 24 reviews.
Metascore dropped from 75 pre TIFF to 70 post TIFF. Only 2/6 positive TIFF, but 13/18 positive prior.

Four more yesterday. Another 40 from lefty New Yorker so still 70. More reviews today on Google.
Update: 30 from vulture brings it down to 67!

yet all of those have a higher RT % than Joker.
And Joker has a rotten 50% with Top Critics -- yet the average rating is actually 7.2 with those same critics
Metacritic at 63 from 70
RT at 74% from 76% and 78%
Seems to be mixed at this point with the ups and downs but slowly trending downwards.
I just checked RT and it was still 78%, so I hit refresh and it's 73%. I haven't seen the "stale page" problem in years, probably an Edge Beta bug.
Seems like critics are jumping on the fabricated "dark times, violent times" meme. Just like they gave WokeBusters glowing reviews, they're now giving Joker deranged rants instead of reviews. They sure fear the Outrage Mobs!
Now it's at 73%, similar situation to Interstellar which is a mere 71% but is much much better than any of the total rubbish in the high 90's i.e. anything by Marvel.
Bob Chipman gave Joker a 4/10 and Godzilla: King of the Monsters a 10/10 because it was The Avengers of monster movies or something. Even Men in Black International is better than this movie according to him. He should be honest and say he didn't like it because it's not a singing and dancing comic book movie crammed with puns and Reddit humour.
