a slow build up.
but good.
shareYes solid movie
shareI thought the build up was too slow and the payoff insufficient. But that's me.
shareI have to agree. It was very slow and could have been condensed without loosing too much. Two and a half hours is a big chunk of time in anyone's life, especially nowadays.
While the payoff scene was very well done, and the sense of ambiguity haunting, it isn't a particularly meaningful or interesting denouement. I was hoping for a twist or reveal of some sort that would throw all of the details into relief, to complete the puzzle, but we just got more arthouse ambiguity and a sudden, incomplete ending.
Fantastic film, had me thinking long after watching it. I have my own take on what happened with Hae-Mi, but I could be totally wrong. Great performance from Steven Yen as Ben, even at the end you don't even know if he's just a bored rich guy looking for friendship in the wrong way or something worse. Yoo Ah In as Jong-su was fantastic. Jeon Jong-Seo as Hae-Mi really left a mark when she left the film midway through, you need a actress you leave a impression and she did.
It's definitely not a film who want to be led by the hand through what's going on. The ending will upset few. But I loved the film.
Great film, I loved it!
What about the narcolepsy angle?
There’s a lot to unpack in this film
