So my guess is season 3 takes places in a Covid world. The 3 most likely Covid victims, Daniels mom, Kreese and Johnnys step dad

Not doubting what you wrote but got me wondering. It's not that type of show. I wonder why they have to have any deaths at all.

Although one of the deaths may be Satos funeral, which may be why Daniel goes to Okinawa. What a shocker when he sees Mr Silver at the funeral as he mourns his sensei

That's one thing that can guarantee will not happen. Thomas Ian Griffith has said no to offer to return as Silver.

Season 3 completed filming at the end of 2019, before Covid.
