Really odd choice to do Robby like that

I legit hated this kid almost the second we "met" him. He was a rotten apple.

But he got a job (and truly liked it), got a mentor and teacher, learned karate, liked that, was exposed to a better way of life and given opportunities, and legitimately turned his life around.

He tries breaking up the fight that the psycho Tory was insistent on making happen. Even after he heard Sam say she kissed Miguel, I believe Robby even says, "Are you ok?" Again, this is right after he found out his girl cheated on him and he was still concerned about her safety. Then Miguel comes running in and tackles him, which started the brawl. To his credit, Miguel tried to end it by throwing in the towel/showing some mercy and the writers inexplicably have Robby retaliate - which is fine in of itself - but then Miguel goes flying over the railing and is obviously seriously injured.

Most people have the potential to lose their cool, so having Robby do it isn't the worst or most out of field writing decision. But the severity and having the whole cast of characters just completely and totally turn on him doesn't sit well with me at all. Feels completely and totally unjustified. It starts with the beginning of the finale when Daniel says taking him in and training him was a mistake. Daniel's kid was missing, so his anger was justified - and he thinks Robby is to blame because Robby says he is - but to just outright write the kid off was fucking cold; especially since he took the kid in and let him live with his family. Even after that, Robby sticks up for Daniel to his Johnny; again showing what a good kid he's turned into. Then, as I mentioned above, he not only tries to break up the fight, but asks Sam if she's ok AFTER hearing she cheated on him. Then Miguel ATTACKS him. Miguel (and Tory) started the brawl. Daniel turns on him. Sam turns on him "Robby, what did you do?!" I'm not saying he should get off scott free for what happened to Miguel, but how is the show gonna do this kid like that? And why is no one talking about it?

Yeah, it was cold. He had the best arc and was learning from the pro-defense sensei, but he was the one who lost his cool and accidentally injured someone badly. But that happens in real life sometimes. All those fights for the first 2 seasons and n one got seriously injured, but sometimes people do.

Only one who lost his cool? My man, Tory announced on the PA system she was going to hunt down Sam and whoop her ass; and tried to maim her by the end of the fight. Miguel FREAKED OUT and started the brawl when all Robby was doing was trying to break up the fight. Tory and Sam were fighting and that turned into Robby and Miguel fighting. Hawk just starts swinging at people and stalked Demetri through the school. Only one to lost his cool, LOL?

Nah he's always been a douche. Even his temporary arc in becoming a "decent" person seemed fake, like he was putting on an act.

Things like hiding the medal of honor from Sam is his default nature. Like he has to try hard NOT to be a d*ck. The difference is that Miguel has to try hard TO BE a d*ck.

The show literally tells us about the medal. He was jealous of her ex and didn't want him to win her back. He apologized for it and everything - you know, because him turning over a new leaf wasn't fake.

I thought it was more of an accident than him losing his cool.

No, no, it absolutely was an accident. You see it on his face. I just thought it was a very bizarre writing decision. His character turned over a new leaf. Turned into a really clean cut and good kid. And in the finale Daniel turns on him, Sam turns on him, and he's "the bad guy" all because of what happened to Miguel; when Robby didn't even start the fight. Asmuch as I enjoy the show, I think they're a little too obsessed with making characters looks bad.
