I didn't recall this was an 8 ep season but when watching the last ep it felt like one. If the series ended here I'd be fine with that. Was surprised it got a 3rd season to be honest.
Where would season 4 go? Jackie gets reinstated to the FBI? Jenny divorces Jackie? DeCoursey & Siobhan have a child? Caysen's personal life gets more complicated (don't care).
I was surprised at the series finale.
Many of these shows now seem to be given the "Ray Donovan" treatment - that the series finale is so open-ended that if the series does well enough there may be a 2 hr movie in the future.
I enjoyed the series mainly because of Kevin Bacon's acting. As I mentioned earlier, this series was like if Bacon's character from Animal House grew up to be an FBI agent.
Ha didn't make that Animal House connection with Bacon. Yeah KB kept me coming back plus I'm a Boston area resident so that was a plus. First season was the strongest story.
I was glad they did the Ray Donovan movie but was disappointed how it ended. Still, better than leaving it where the series ended.
City on a Hill movie where maybe DeCoursey brings down Jackie for the Clay Roach murder? I like it so much more when they're allies.
How's this for a S4 or final movie idea:
DeCoursey kills the union goon for going after his wife, but in a way not easily provable in self defense. DeCoursey calls Jackie for help covering it up.
Ah, I like that last one.
