The problem with these movies

Is they're all the exact same, you know how each one is gonna go, Ed and Lorrain investigate a case, a bunch of jump scares happen, no one really dies, Ed or Lorrain are put into a dangerous situation that you know they will survive cause they're basing these on the real people who never died during a case, so that suspense is not even existent when they do that.

Then at the end they solve the problem and get rid of the demon or evil entity or whatever and they put a little trinket in their room and it ends. They all go that same way, no one ever really dies, Jump scares galore, they try and make you think Ed or Lorrain is gonna die which never happens, and they beat the demon.

Everyone knows they won't get killed by demons because they died of old age!

That is true. I rated the first one 8/10, the second 7/10. I haven't seen this yet, but it does feel like a series with diminishing returns.

*Your problem with these movies.
That's a bit like saying Titanic is pointless because we all know it will sink.

There's more to these movies than knowing they will survive or not. Secondary characters are technically in danger but that is also aside the point.
Personally I enjoy this kind of horror, it is not too over the top and still grounded in "reality".
Oh and Conjuring uses not many jump scares at all, most scenes are creepy horror not "boo!" horror.
Which is another reason I like them.

Ironically, all spin-offs are utter shit.

Lol they don't use many jump scares? lol thats a good one, theres tons of vids on youtube of people making fun of all the the jump scares in this movie.

And the difference between something like Titanic and this is that was ONE movie, telling the true story of a famous tragic accident, also they didn't constantly tease the ship might not sink even though we know it was gonna. Watching every one of these conjuring movies make us think Ed or Lorrain might die is laughable at this point.

Compared to the usual horror trash movies of the 2000s... no, not a lot of jump scares at all.
Show me one of these videos... because I suspect you mix them up with videos about The Nun or Annabelle, these movies were full of them indeed.
Another thing is, jump scares aren't bad by default. There's a time and a place, and the right delivery. For me this worked out in Conjuring.

And as I said earlier... Ed and Lorrain dying or not is not the point of these movies.

Random reaction vids on youtube should never an authority you rely on to inform yourselves. As far as mainstream horror films go, the Conjuring series use minimal jump scares. You should maybe watch a wider breadth of horror films instead of relying on other people's opinions. Maybe it's easier for you to lump Conjuring in with The Nun or Winchester...but that's just simplicity borne from ignorance.

Also, we know Ed and Lorraine are not gonna die. We knew Indy was never gonna die, but ppl generally agree that the Indiana Jones films are exciting. All because you don't like the formula, doesn't mean there's something inherently bad about the formula.
