Shouldn't the Son be White?
If your dad is half white, and your mom is bleach blonde very white. You should look like a white kid with dark hair, not a Vietnamese kid.

I didn't even realize the Asian male actor playing the husband (who I'm assuming you're referring to) was half European until I just looked it up. Perhaps the character in question was meant to be fully Asian despite his surname? Either way it's not that strange. Have you seen the reality show about the Goslin children? The product of a very white mother & a biracial Asian/white dad & yet the Asian features came through very strong with those kids. None of them could pass as completely white. Genetics can be iffy.
