Darlene son ...

It is definitely getting it's groove back. The last two episode felt a lot more like the original show. However I still feel the story-line with Darlene son a little bit tacked in for the sake of PC..I mean I appreciate the message but it just does not feel organic and a bit forced.. The kid does a decent job but it just does not fit with the rest of the show..I cant really explain it, to me it feels like he is a character that should be in a different show..

I agree that he doesn't gel with the show at all, but at least he's not on there that often.

True!

The job of the kid is to show that although Roseanne is a stupid redneck Trump voter, that she is tolerant and liberal on social issues so people do not completely think she is off the wall. But then again, they kind of dropped her support for Trump after the very first episode. Also ... as Bill Maher said in a routine about a week ago here:

Nothing about the Connor family is helped by anything Donald Trump said or promised. They don't have decent jobs, they don't make enough money to afford their pills, and they don't have health care. Maher says it a lot better than I, so check it out.

Your not off at all. Its completely out of place and completely wrong to promote.

Yeah the kid does feel like he belongs on another show, Life In Pieces seems like the kind of show his character would fit in on, just cause cause that show is about a big family full of unique wacky quirky characters.

But yeah his character really feels out of place with the Conner's, just cause all of them have been normal relatable characters for the most part, and he just looks to be some forced message the show is trying to say, like "oh look how accepting and open minded the Conner's are today".
