wow

If necessary, I'm taking off from work on 1/18/19

I think it looks pretty good, but I have to confess I wasn't blown away, as I was hoping to be.

I also hope very little of the story takes place in the asylum, because that just seems dull.

I feel the same. My main gripe with it being the more lighthearted tone in here than in Split. We have enough of that in the Marvel movies.

I was hoping it would be more of a super beings face off thriller, with the same eerie atmosphere than in Split, that would be something new.

But then again, James is really funny in the role and Split had a lot of humorous moments that didn't hurt the movie. I just hope that at some point it reaches the same level of eeriness than in the third act of Split.

Personally, I was hoping to get more of an Unbreakable feel and less of a Split feel, as I think that Unbreakable is easily the superior movie between the two.

It still looks good, though. Tonally, I can't quite nail it down. A lot of it seems quite serious. Some of it doesn't.

I have my fingers crossed that it's going to satisfy my expectations. As we all know, M. Night was really struggling there for a while, but I still have faith in him.

Frankly, the trailer exceeded my expectations. It looks spectacular! More suspenseful than I was expecting and the tone of both Unbreakable and Split is captured perfectly.

And though I agree that the asylum scenes should be limited, to me those scenes alone suggest this film is sure to take some twists and turns (typical M. Night). Very excited for it.

I've watched it three times now, and still not totally sure how I feel about it, but I am definitely looking forward to the film.

I'm really glad to see M. Night getting his mojo back. He's one of my favorite directors of all time and so I hated it when people were basically treating him as a punchline during his slump when he was making films like The Happening, After Earth and The Last Airbender.

The Visit and Split were big hits for him--both financially successful and received well by critics and audiences--and it's hard to imagine this not being a hit as well.

What I am also curious about is what he does AFTER Glass. So he made Split, the surprise sequel to Unbreakable. And nwt he's wrapping up this trilogy with Glass. So what's next? Personally, I'd like to get some more movies from him that feel like his earlier films. Even though The Visit and Split were very successful, they didn't have the same FEEL as his first four.

I got goosebumps when we first saw the three of them sitting in the asylum. Great stuff, can't wait for this one.
