The first movie essentially caricaturized an entire culture for laughs. Social media makes the world a much smaller place. You can't get away with that type of "coonery and bafoonery" anymore.
Its obviously fictional, but will these writers be able to do what Black Panther did and not offend an entire continent, given today's sensibilities? I hope so, otherwise Murphy's come back could be badly derailed.

shareCorrect, and the attempt to pander to them by neutering the gratuitous nudity and edgy language, and instead add woke messaging is what made Coming 2 America a flop, which sucks because reuniting the cast of the magnificent original was an incredible opportunity.

However i do find it possible to enjoy a film without it
