Introducing Adam Warlock now doesn't make any sense

they're out of their minds lol , Warlock played a key role in the infinity gauntlet saga comics , as in he was the one to wield the gauntlet to undo all things Thanos did , and he obviously didn't die or get hurt from it because , why would he? They decided to kill off Iron Man this stupid way just because RDJ was too expensive to keep in the MCU , now what are they gonna do? revive Thanos and do all over again? or what the hell is Warlock role supposed to be now that Thanos is gone?

They introduced Ant-Man AFTER Ultron. So its normal business for them.

Fair point.

Eh, could be worse. We went through the entire Infinity Saga without the X-Men and Fantastic Four, and with Spider-Man squeezed in at the last second. Also, as another commenter said, Ant Man showed up after Ultron, so having Adam Warlock show up now is no big deal.

With that said, at the very least, he should've been the one guarding the Soul Stone instead of Red Skull. The casuals wouldn't know who he was, but their nerd friends would. If Thanos' cameo at the end of Avengers was able to get a bunch of audiences to flip out in the theaters - including mine - before he was mainstream, then I'm sure a lot of people would've cheered if Adam Warlock showed up for a few minutes in Infinity War and Endgame.

As was pointed out before, the MCU is NOT the same Earth as the Comics, so things don't necessarily work out the same way as they do in the stories from the comics.

reply

that's complete bullshit , in many past interviews Feige said that they try to stay as close as possible to the comics , but apparently they still can't , probably because they hire shitty writers and directors

reply

I wouldn't listen to what Feige says. He chooses race, sexuality & gender over skills when hiring writers.

I guess you have a point. But it seems like the MCU is inspired by the comics, not so much adapted from them. There will be some differences, as you’ve seen already (due to logistical and copywriting reasons).

This ^

They’ve done a great job with creating a cinematic universe with the comics for inspiration and they’ve created some excellent versions of these characters that are beloved by people all over the world.

Now the question is is whether they can sustain the consistent output of quality films they had in the first three phases and hopefully make excellent Blade, Fantastic Four and X-Men films as it’s been far too long since we’ve had a great film with these characters.

reply

I know but everything else is different. Nebula also wore the gauntlet but they skipped that and she was there. Warlock will probably appear again when we see Silver Surfer and Galactus.
