Why Warner Bros. Decision To Cancel Batgirl Makes Financial Sense

Unique position to be too small scale for a full fledged movie release but too big for a streaming show. Will cost way more money to market/advertise Batgirl. Write $90m off as a business loss and recover some cost.

Wut? Amazon has like $$460m+ shows like LoTR Ring of Power and Wheel of Time was $80m. I think the real reason was it won't make enough to recover cost in theater due to the woke nature of the show and if it were to stream, it'll lose even more from the downvotes and piracy instead. They're going back to the theater first before stream motto which I already mentioned they should've done long ago but hey, people learn the hard way.

The more I think about it, it probably is the right decision from a business standpoint. But there's no getting around that it looks bad.

The old strategy made sense during Covid. Now it doesn't. And to me, a hybrid approach doesn't make sense at all for DCEU movies and the like. You have to go big, or don't make it at all. WB is just trying to be WB again. This is a statement.
