My theory

Do you think evelyn has had a mid life crisis and all of this is just a day dream and she is coming to terms with her husband wanting a divorce, her daughter being gay, and her father abandoning when she was growing up, and this was just a coping mechanism, at the end she is where she started but with a new outlook on life, and her daughter being nihilistic maybe apart of Evelyn's mind thinking everything and everyone are just repeating the same thing day I day out like a circle (bagel) it's kind of like usual suspects when Kevin spacey is looking to make up his story to tell the cop he looks at things, Evelyn is told about all of these hobbies/jobs and the way she circled one of the receipts looks like the bagel we see later, maybe she has an insane imagination haha she imagines her life without her husband and she knows she still made the right choice
