The corn field was perfect and immaculate

But I think it was around 'DAY 431'? I'm pretty certain a corn field, that never gets harvested, and over a year passes, is not going to look that good and immaculate. There will be weeds growing up in the rows. None of the corn from the year before would have gotten harvested, as tractors are extremely loud, wouldn't all that corn have fallen to the ground of much of it sprouted haphazardly, rather than in perfectly straight rows?

Yes, the corn field would be a mess....LOL. I just let it slip by :)

Also, it escaped me how the boy was able to elude the creature pursuing him in the cornfield since they were so incredibly fast in their attacks and he was obviously making a significant amount of noise rushing through there.
