fox made a mistake?
do you guys think Fox made a mistake when they released the trailer? I think they did. they should have announced the new date then released the trailer. instead of the other way around.

For one thing, if we’re to believe the rumors (they’re all over the place when it comes to this film) that the reshoots for DP have been so extensive that almost the entire film has been reshot, then releasing a trailer that may or may not represent the final film makes little sense. This may only be a rumor, but keep in mind.... set pics from the reshoots have been popping up for months now.
On that note, I believe the announcement of the Fox/Disney merger may have something to do with the reshoots; they are now trying to tie up any loose ends and wrap up Dark Phoenix as the last big movie in the Fox X-Men legacy.
Some reports said the real reason the film has been pushed back is in order to capitalize on the Chinese market after the trailer was met with much enthusiasm over there. Perhaps FOX doesn’t expect the movie to do that well domestically, so they have the world’s 2nd largest movie market to count on. At this point, I suppose anything can be true.
