He was the boyfriend who got the text. He came in there, prompting the audience to suppose that he’d save the day. But he gets killed easily.
I think it would’ve been better if he had a gun or something. The film could’ve teased the idea that he would get them out if they gave him a little offense.
I think that was the point. They wanted you to stockpile hope in him.
