We all age. Fact of life.

People in the public eye and with enough money can spend money to give the illusion that they don't age.

But they are aging like everyone else. Its about hiding and masking the aging process, not stopping or slowing it down.

The 'looking good for their age' is a very misunderstood notion. I have always believed that people look their age, but can still look good. Whether they are 40, 50, 60 etc. They can still look good at that age.

But where it gets unnatural for me is when people of 60 go to great lengths to look 40. There is absolutely nothing natural about that. Such people will either be having surgery or using all sorts of espensive makeup and spending huge amounts of time applying it.

Best example of this is Joan Collins. An actress who has a signature look that has not changed since the 70's. Her whole career is based on her signature appearance. If she deviated from it in any way, her career would have ended.

And even in her 80s she still tries to maintain this look. And it looks more and more unnatural as she gets older.

But...its what people expect and its how she earns her money.

The price of fame indeed...
