humans vs. vampires.... wtf?

I mean, vampires are super strong and super fast, how the fuck is the forgemaster getting the best of them? Or the belmont fellow? Last I checked, both were human without any magical powers. The belmont fellow was also crashed through the walls and other crap and still ok - wtf?

I get that it's a cartoon, but since it is established that forgemasters are human and so is the belmont dude, the whole thing stinks big time. Might as well officially give these characters some super powers, if they are going to behave like marvel superheroes anyways.

Anyways, there's so much shit like that in this series, it's not even funny.
Like the Dracula's son, when awakened, is floating in the air if his own will. Yet, at other times, he desperately needs a rope to get to a higher ground, wtf?

That's one of the reasons I liked Lords of Shadow.

I know a lot of people complain about Kojima's input into Castlevania, but the story follows that humans wouldn't be strong enough to fight the old Lords, and so there's a really good teleplay about the morality of giving up humanity to fight evil too strong for humans to defeat.

This has always been one of the underlying themes of the Castlevania games, and even fits into the gameplay mechanics. It's something the cartoon completely foregoes.

I think a lot of these inconsistencies could be fixed if they gave these special characters certain super powers for whichever magical fucking reason - they can always come up with shit, anyways.

But then, in some instances forgetting that Dracula's son can fly - that's just dumb writing. They make up rules and then immediately abandon them whenever it's convenient.

Maybe floating is not the same as flying. Just like gliding is not the same as flying either ...

I don't remember those particular moments tbh ..

I feel that Trevor's weapons like the Morningstar and cross sword were magical, at least sorta. He is also extremely skilled. Isaac is also a highly skilled warrior. Their skills make it possible to take on creatures several times stronger.

So wait, their weapons make them 10 times stronger and invulnerable to physical damage like being thrown into a wall that would cause an average person turn into a pulp? Gotcha.

reply

Obviously no, I wasn't talking about the damage to Belmont. They do likely cause much more damage than a conventional weapon; The cross thing seems to come back like Thor's hammer. The morningstar might be guided, as it never misses and causes a special kind of damage.

So while I can't explain the defense part, I think it's safe to assume some of the weapons are enhanced.
