The last season of the series? Or the last with these particular characters?
Supposedly Netflix wants to continue with a series in the same universe, whatever that means.
But if they just mean that we're done with Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard, but now they're gonna have Simon, then Richter, then Soma, etc, why not just say that?
Was this show cancelled? It'd be a shame if it was, despite being woke on occasion, and season 3 being largely mediocre, I still consider Castlevania the best video-game adaptation to date. The writers need to hurry up and get through Curse of Darkness so that they can get to what the fans want (the characters I mentioned above as well as Symphony of the Night), but I still enjoy Netflix Castlevania over all.
I get that they want to add depth to the games and build the lore, but season 3 had Trevor and Sypha spend too long in that town, accomplishing nothing other than meeting Saint Germain; Alucard's subplot didn't need to be there at all; and Hector is getting needlessly neutered when he's supposed to be the main character at this point in the timeline. Get through Curse of Darkness, we wanna see Simon, we wanna see Symphony of the Night, we wanna see the War of 1999, and we wanna see Soma Cruz.
