Florence doesn't look like Paige. She is way hotter than Paige - if you have seen the clip of this movie.

shareThe problem for me is I just have zero interest in Paige - especially after those sex tapes were leaked where she's acting like a porn star for a couple of wrestlers. But besides that her career in the mainstream was only a few years and she never rose above mediocre/filler content.
I would've much preferred a story based on Becky Lynch or Charlotte, even someone like Nia Jax has had a more interesting life.
Paige is basically the reason women get near equal air time now as the men in the WWE...her career cut short because of injury..when she did wrestle she was so much more than Just a filler or midcarder. She worked with what the sexist industry of professional wrestling gave her. During that time women were given 1 sometimes 2 segments in a 3 hour show...most times their matches being cut at PPVs due to time. She deserves the movie that was made about her.

I'm a wrestling fan for over 30 years. In the 90s I'd regularly buy tapes of Japanese womens wrestling - so it's not like I'm anti womens wrestling. I just don't find anything special about Paige in-ring or charisma/character-wise. She's ok - but nothing mega special. I actually prefer her as a manager of the Kabuki Warriors and wish they'd use them properly.
I'm talking about the WWE...where I've been a fan since 88. And no other wrestling promotion applies to what I said...just WWE...where the women in the late 90s until the mid 2000s were paid to show their tits and ass..have pillow fights in their thongs and lingerie matches.

shareLook up an actress named Joey King. She's not from England but I can't help but notice how similar she looks to young Paige. I think she would have been great in the role. Florence did a good job but just saying. Joey has the look, is a pretty good actress herself from what I've seen, and she's fit enough.
