Ridiculous and Tony Jaa was duly emasculated

I get that in some ways Tony Jaa gets one of the most important kills in the movie, but it came at the expense of getting beat up nearly twice by a wounded, poisoned, dehydrated 100lbs woman (ROFL?) and pretty much being the dude in distress throughout many portions of the film just so Madam Milla or someone else could save him.

I'm pretty sure if Milla got punched ONCE in real life in the stomach, she would be on the ground, gagging for air, wind knocked out of her, incapacitated for at least five minutes (though more like ten). Yet here we're supposed to believe she can take multiple hits from men and monsters alike after being put through an entire day of near hell by a killer sand bull and giant poisonous spiders?

This film was awful.

The fact that they ended it as if we're supposed to be excited for a sequel is nonsense.

I guess for Tony Jaa it's a paycheck and the potential opportunity to be in a Western-made franchise, secures him a few more years of work and guarantees his kids go to a good Ivy League university.

Milla, meanwhile, gets to keep her name in the spotlight and Leftist media rags get to keep harping on about "woman power!" and all that other nonsense.

I hate to say it but the best and most consistent part about this film was the original Ranger team that accompanied Milla. They really highlighted how awful her acting skills are, but they seemed to have decent camaraderie and came across as quite likable and somewhat believable, given the circumstances.

It would have been better had they at least all been trained to fight monsters and then got picked off one by one on their way to the tower.
