Box Office Bomb with $2.2 Million this weekend
Ouch. Even with the pandemic these numbers are terrible.
shareOuch. Even with the pandemic these numbers are terrible.
shareThey may have made the movie before the virus. I buying the movie dvd because I have all her other RE movies. I can't afford anymore to go to theaters and buy all the movies anymore.
shareI'm going tomorrow but the theater is only charging 5 bux. I imagine a lot of that kind of thing might be going on.
shareI think Jovovich has just left a sour taste in everyones mouth after garbage resident evil after garbage resident evil. who would trust her Paul W.S Anderson to make a decent movie? they already turned one game franchise into a long running abomination with every little last bit or creativity sucked from it.
shareSince The Fifth Element, Milla Jovovich has starred in the dreadful Ultraviolet and endless Resident Evil sequels. She's become synonymous with big budget B-grade sci-fi/horror/action. The kind of film that proves you're better off investing in a decent script than another $20 million worth of CGI. If you've seen her in Resident Evil 15: Total Obliviation you'll probably skip it.
Releasing anything in theaters right now is a dicey proposition. People have to be willing to run a bit of risk to physically come out and see your movie. Anything that's probably not worth that (and the ticket price) is going to do really bad.
Just going on that poster/pic it looks like low budget crap regardless of it's actual budget.
shareI'd watch the movie if my damn theater isn't closed due to COVID. I always watch the movies that first release but now I can't. Guess it's VOD.
