She just dumped her kids on this guy…

I think the movie was great up until she just magically disappeared to the mermaid strip club and dumped her kids on that guy. In reality, her kids would be getting molested by some random somewhere and he would have abandoned them immediately. I don't think it's good for society overall that we keep pushing these unrealistic standards of what people are supposed to do. No man in his right mind would tolerate being disrespected by being forced to raise some other woman's children based on some romance they had 15 years before.

Sorry for the tragedies in your life, but in this movie, which is the subject, she knew the guy almost all her life, and he lived up to her stunt, and it worked out.

In reality, no real man would ever leave 3 kids on their own without at the very least setting them up to be taken care of, and much more if he was actually in their life. You're just a sad, sad irresponsible person.

You sound too naive and ignorant to understand what life is really about, and your idea of manhood is projected in your expectations of what someone in your own sphere would do. That is too bad.
