It wasn't "franchise fatigue" that killed this movie

Spiderman has had even more movies in recent years than Terminator and the latest one is still breaking box office records. If previous Terminator movies were any good, this would have sold for gold. It was the fact all Terminators over the last 16 years sucked and the fact they made it woke that killed it.

It's amazing - this has been a product that peaked in 1991. Alien Franchise peaked in 1986. Predator peaked in 1987. Yet the studios still keep trying to find a way to keep them relevant.

What are you talking about? Terminator Salvation was the best movie in the franchise and Geneysis was the 2nd best

Have you seen the original Terminator? Or T2: Judgement Day? How is Salvation and Genysis better than those?

reply

No sarcasm, I liked Salvation because they gave us the future war. Its what we have been wanting to see since we saw a terminator step on the skull of the nuclear departed. It has its flaws, but also has many good things in it too. Anton Yelchin perfected the version of the teenage kyle reese. He took it very seriously. Also...If you are reading this, then you ARE the resistance.

Genysis had an excellent first act! But it became bad when the T-1000 (Lee Byung Hun) was killed, and when Connor was revealed to be the antagonist.

Otherwise I agree with you.
