Dark Fark or Genisys?
I'm close to picking Genisys, you?
shareDF for the R rating alone
shareGenisys is a fun movie it's like a "best of" remake type movie that plays around with new ideas or what if situations
sharejust watched genisys again, and while i still find dark fate a bit better, i noticed how dark fate blatantly ripped off genisys sometimes. for example the ending:
villain tries to argue (genisys: "...why don't just accept it?", dark fate: "...why don't you just let me have her?"),
then one of the protagonist anwers with a "human" one liner (genisys: "because we're human", dark fate: "because we're not machines...")
after that, the protagonist crew beats the villain up and arnold sacrifices himself (in genisys only presumably) to destroy the villain.
also the chase in the first act:
liquid villain shapeshifts through the car windshield and materializes himself again on the bonnet, before jumping onto the protagonists' car.
They couldn't come up with something better than this? Blatantly copying the last cruddy Terminator film WTH?
sharealso, in both movies they visit a child in the very end. in genisys young kyle reese, in dark fate young grace.
it seems like david ellison thought he could make the same movie twice and nobody would notice.
Dark Fate, it had more action, but I also liked Genisys.
shareI haven't seen Dark Fate (and won't be seeing it!) but it's hard to say whether Rise of the Machines, Salvation, or Genisys sucked more.
easily dark fate, sure it might have had plot holes, but nowhere near as many as genisys did
SPOILERS BELLOW
also as sad as it was to see john die in the begining, i rather have a dead john connor than evil john, its just wierd seeing john go from "you just cant kill anyone" to "lets kill everyone" without any reason whatsoever
and also i prefer real sarah connor than a fake one
T3 over both of them.
