I gotta say though, I won’t be surprised if Connor in some way pops up in the film.
If John is dead, then Skynet Wins.
What's the point of this movie?
As the new headlines will put it. "The Future is Female" or "Now it's Her turn".
The only way to up woman is to destroy men, that is how it works now. They couldn't create an alternate timline or different character or like in the 3rd film it could have been one if his lieutenants. No, he has to die so it can now be a woman.
Also if the new plot details are to be believed, someone has basically just rehashed "The Force Awakens".
