The first script for Rocky VI, Stallone wrote back in 2002, had him fighting Ivan Drago in a charity match.

Turns out Stallone won’t be directing it anymore, which is no big deal to me.
I haven’t been “in touch” with the old Rocky movies in a long time, but Creed was excellent and it’ll be great if this sequel packs a punch (no pun). Best of all, knowing Drago will be returning is exciting.
I enjoyed Creed a lot. It turned out to be a solid addition to the franchise. I really feel they used Rocky to great effect as people got to know Creed in the film, I am not sure if the film would have been as successful without Stallone in it.
