Out today on Netflix

There was a good story to tell here but the execution didn’t deliver. The whole film was clunky. I am interested to hear what others thought. 5/10

I really enjoyed it. It’s a film that you can only watch once to experience what the director intended. The science fiction elements were well done but i most enjoys the psychological elements and the secondary philosophy and ethical issues. What did you think was ‘clunky’ about it? What does clunky mean?

I thought some parts of the story and the acting were poor. The script did not seem fully fleshed out, like it needed 1 or 2 more re-writes to tighten it up. I especially thought in her situation she needed to calm down and figure it out as she had no time for dramatics. Not the actors fault but the directors. As I said there was a really good story in there but the narrative did not flow well. A better director could have put out something better. I feel like it could have been a thoughtful and elegant story but did not achieve its potential. Ultimately it’s forgettable.

I gave it a solid 7. Clever written story, something different. I like how the tension builds as she runs out of time and exhausts every option. Well acted on her part, she did a good job of showing emotion without overacting. The twists and reveal of her location were pretty interesting as well.

Ah, will give it a pass then. Thanks.

Well I always recommend seeing it for yourself but I found myself to be aggravated and irritated for a large part of the film.

Thanks for enduring and giving the warning. I do not recommend watching everything with bad reviews. There is too little life to watch crap.

Cmon, I don’t wanna be responsible for that…. This could turn out to be your favorite movie ever.

reply

That's how I feel about most of the Netflix-produced movies, tbh.

It’s Netflix. Never expect much.
