Hydro Man is not in this. It's the Elementals and Mysterio is the main bad guy.

Hydron. The Elementals. Something along those lines.

The big theory is, these monstrous beings are just illusions created by Mysterio who will appear as the hero at first. Will that turn out to be true? It’s possible but there can always be a twist.

In truth, I don't think that's Hydroman, but if it is I'm not disappointed. The idea of using Hydroman, Sandman and Molten Man as a sort of water, earth, fire tag team is interesting. However, the trailer depicts them as something like mindless monsters of mayhem, and not the petty crooks with powers they are in the comics, so I don't expect them to be those three villains.

I'm also semi-convinced they are illusions created by Mysterio to help him build a rep he intends to somehow monetize or otherwise use to his advantage.

Just to clarify do you feel that way because of how Hydroman was done in the 90s cartoon? Cause the terrible way they did him in that is nothing like the comics character.

I think the villains that look like Hydro-man & Sandman are only meant to be illusions that Mysterio creates to show up Spider-Man. In which case, its a terrible waste of two classic villains.

Damn! I was hoping it would be Plantman or maybe Frog Man. That's it, I'm totally boycotting this movie now.
