The Falcon and the Ravin'
Spoiler warning! Don't read before watching the two part episode "The Falcon and the Raven".
Of course the reason why Raven is funny is because she isn't reasonable but gets over excited. So naturally she doesn't react to animals, wild or domestic, reasonably.
Every rational person knows that it is a bad idea to act excited around any type of animals that might recognize your excitement and share it. But everything gets Raven excited.
So a man named Norman got into Raven's car when she was driving for Scut, carrying a falcon named Ernesto on his arm. Note that Norman wasn't carrying his falcon Ernesto in a cage, but on his arm. If Ernesto damaged the car or hurt Raven Norman could be sued for a lot of money and potentially financially ruined. So Norman showed a lot of confidence in Ernesto's tameness when he carried Ernesto in without a cage.
But Raven couldn't help getting excited and nervous, and couldn't help looking at Ernesto in the rear view mirror despite being told by Norman that looking Ernesto in the eye would excite and anger him. So Ernesto did get excited and start flying around the car.
And the kids, using an app to track Raven's car, noticed that she was driving wildly, like a crazy person. And an automobile is far too dangerous to drive recklessly. Raven should have stopped the car if she couldn't focus on driving safely. She probably violated a number of Scut rules and certainly broke driving laws.
And if the kids could track Raven's Scut car using a phone app, the Scut office probably could also track it. Which means that Raven would probably get in big trouble for her reckless driving.
Then Raven said she was going to open the window and let Ernesto out, and Norman, Ernesto's owner, sternly told her no! and said to keep her hands where he could see them. And then Raven used her tongue to operate the control and lower the window, and Ernesto flew out.
How would you feel if you were on a trip and someone let your pet loose in a strange place? And Raven deliberately deprived Norman of the use of his legal property, Ernesto. Considering the probable price of falcons - for centuries the feudal rent for the entire island of Malta was one falcon per year - that probably counts as felony theft or felony property damage.
Later in the episode Ernesto snatched "pinky", Raven's pink handbag containing $ 10,000.00 in cash, and few off with it. At the end of the episode Ernesto perched on the roof of their apartment building, still clutching onto "pinky", and 12-year-old Nia calmly walked slowly up to Ernesto and took pinky's handle out of Ernesto's claw.
Way to go Nia! But if her family were a little more sensible they could have thought of reasons to criticize Nia.
IMHO opinion Nia should have realized that Raven was going to be in big trouble for setting Ernesto loose. Norman would sue Scut and Raven, and Scut would fire Raven from her job. Raven could lose more money in the long run than the $ 10,000.00 in pinky. Of course Raven might not have told the kids off screen that she had feloniously released Ernesto - I don't remember her doing so onscreen - but Nia knows how Raven behaves.
So Nia should have tried to coax Ernesto to perch on her arm, and then taken him downstairs to their apartment. They could have called Norman - Raven called him earlier in the episode - and negotiated to return Ernesto if Norman dropped all criminal and civil proceedings against Raven.
I can't help thinking that by far the biggest flaw in this episode is that none of the protagonists realized they had a duty to Ernesto to return him home, to Norman to return his property, and to the local pigeons to get Ernesto home as soon as possible.
