Monologue (spoilers)
I gotta say, I was impressed by the main character's ending monologue.
Normally these kinds of movies have the hero act all badass or suave but when he began crying and saying, "I don't wanna die," it really got to me. I believed this man was making a hard choice, not just a sacrifice.
