Two bloopers that immediately dissuaded me from watching the rest of it.

1) Cameron Mathison's character allowing Mira's to fall asleep. Even a mild concussion should warrant him advising her against that! At least until he could give her a more thorough exam back at his place. Don't believe me? Watch any re-run of A VERY MERRY MIX-UP where the doctor tells Penny Mitchum and her husband not to let Matt and Alice fall asleep for the first 24 hours. A thoroughly legit medical order.

2) Cameron's character calls Daisy's plainly older sister "my _youngest_ daughter!"

Rest is actually the best thing for a concussion.

Rest, yes. But, not a full-on power nap! As that could lead to a permanent dirt nap...unless medically determined otherwise.

It's a myth you shouldn't sleep after a concussion. But I agree he should have sought medical attention for Jennifer.

Actually, more like a misinterpretation of the danger someone with a concussion might face if they developed other symptoms while unconscious. Like intense vomiting!

Update: Mathison didn't make a blooper with regard to his other daughter. He did use the word "oldest!" The first time I watched this movie, the sound was garbled by one of those green-dot glitches that occasionally freeze-frame the picture.

Along those lines, why not call 9-1-1? He did not call the sheriff until the next day. When I worked in law enforcement, we found what we thought to be a stolen car well into the woods off an Interstate highway. It had been there for weeks. Checking EMS reports, EMS weeks earlier had found a man walking on the Interstate in that area that was in a similar condition to Sorvino's character here (except he was drunk). He had launched the car over 1/4 mile into the woods and it was so far in no one had seen the track when EMS responded.

While we're at it, her top of the head injury was inconsistent with the crash. She had a front impact in a Mercedes. The airbag would have kept her chest from hitting the wheel and her head from hitting the windshield.

Also I doubt a doctor would medically clear her w/o some type of tests.

As someone else mentioned, if you happen to research (rather than base your medical knowledge on screenwriters from a DIFFERENT MOVIE LOL), you'll find out that there is no medical evidence whatsoever indicating that it's dangerous to sleep after a concussion. In fact, it speeds healing. For ANY injury, most healing occurs while we sleep.

As for the "youngest daughter" complaint, the sound there is not clear. I've always thought he said "youngest". My wife says she clearly hears "oldest", as another comment reports.

For someone else's complaint about calling a doctor, he did, and stated she would come as soon as the roads were clear. In the meantime, he had some medical skills himself as a vet.

For the complaint about the location of her head injury. At no time is it stated HOW she incurred the injury. It's never discussed. So while someone might suppose she sustained it when the car stopped, it's more likely she would have bumped her head on a low branch in the dark or slipped in ice and snow and bumped it when she fell.

So there! LOL
