Would You Have Cast Chloe?

I adore her in just about everything I've seen her in and I really like her as an actress, but I can't for the life of me imagine her as Cameron. I actually decided to read the book after the announcement of the film came out and even after having the casting image in my head, I couldn't picture her while reading.

She's too...pretty maybe?

Who would you cast?

I actually think Chloe fits pretty well. I thought about who I'd like to play Cameron a lot and I'm certainly not disappointed in the choice. She's certainly a great performer

I guess my own bias prevents me from picturing her being gay in any form.

Hell NO. A 19-year-old playing a 12-year-old? Chloe is box office poison, she is going to RUIN this movie.

Who would you cast?

ANYONE else.

She's 16 throughout most of the book. She's only a twelve year old for the first few chapters.

this doesn't seem like it'll be released in theaters. if it is it's a very limited release.

I saw it today and think she did a great job.
I was surprised we got it at my local theater though, we hardly get anything that is not total mainstream.

I haven't read the book, but I know Cameron's supposed to be 12 years of age. But I'm glad they hiked her age up for the film.

For Chloe, I thought she delivered her best performance in a long time with this film. It's not going to win her any awards this year but she shows why she was so highly rated so early in her career before she fell into the trap of blockbuster, crappy romances and comedies. This is for me is her first really great role as a adult.

I think she did a great job. She really convinced me that she was a depressed and disillusioned teen. To me she's a little prettier than girl next door attractiveness to be honest so I don't think that was much of an issue. She still has her flaws like a chubby girlish face.
