Anyone else feel...?
Remini is seems completely sincere in this. She doesn't seem like she's necessarily attempting to "smear" the church but to expose it's hidden evils that have destroyed people and families in general. I like to think I'm knowledgeable and well-informed about things like Scientology. I had taken time years ago to read up on it and thought I "got" it--they were just crazy rich people who believed in sci-fi books as spirituality and Afterlife. After viewing this I feel extremely ignorant. I had bought into the stereotype that exists. The church consists of good people trying to do good things who get trapped before they know it! They keep their members by using scare tactics and mental abuse methods. The worst part of it is their looming threat of losing your family if you act on true feelings. And people are so brainwashed that it works. So sad. The only other church (can we just say cult now?) that uses similar brainwashing with much less consequence us the Mormon church which also obtains millions of money in tithing from members. Nothing but good people who are following evil greedy leaders who know exactly what they are doing. Good for Remini and the folks brave enough to step up to expose this garbage. I hope that people watch it and I hope that it lasts awhile because it's important tv viewing.
