The Celebrity Center

What goes on in the Celebrity Center? I haven't seen every episode of this show, but do they ever discuss it? Can you imagine if mainstream religions had entirely separate churches just for their "famous" worshippers?

Also, do the celebrities in this cult even KNOW the hell some of the other people have to endure? Leah seems surprised by a lot of these stories, like she didn't even know about the abuse until she left?

It has a pretentious British spelling, "Celebrity Centre"

Quite simply a place where celebrity scientologists get their asses kissed. I've read it even has a special entrance so celebrities don't have to mix with anybody who happens to be in the lobby. There are also amenities such as a high end restaurant.

You would think that the celebrities themselves would question the whole concept. I suppose the church makes them feel entitled, who knew that would work with celebrities.

Just like they insulate most of their Scientology folks from the real world, they keep the celebrities away from what is happening day-to-day in Scientology. Guess they figure that for folks with that much money and options it is the way to go.

You are right they dont know what is going on as they are told to not read/watch negative things about them. And they are told its not true when someone says something negative. But now you have more and more top people coming forth so its just a matter of time until they all leave.

Celeb Centre is also for upcoming actors and artists that want to make it in Hollywood, and the center is for them to come and learn/find jobs/connections - through scientologists. So they hand out flyers and try to get newcomers to go on seminars etc. Like scientology will help them become stars.

One sad thing for some of the stars is that the church have all their sessions recorded on video, and so they have private information that some stars are afraid would come out if they left. Blackmail through information. Its in the documentaries "Going Clear: Scientology And The Prison Of Belief" 2015, and "The Secrets Of Scientology: A Panorama Special" 2010.

I've read a lot of books on the subject. One was about someone who worked in the Celebrity Center. The celebrities there are expected to use the E-meter just like everyone else. The Celebrity center has their own rooms and spaces for these readings. It sounded to me like these rooms were just more fancy and catered to the celebrities. There are classes and places to relax there too. There are stores to buy books needed for the courses. As far as I read there is no worship going on there. There are also places where you go to pretty much pay more money to continue to climb up the ladder.

Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop & look around once in awhile you could miss it - Ferris

L Ron Hubbard was the one who had the idea that if you had celebrities to tout your religion it would be more popular, so the Celebrity Centre is basically the fanciest, nicest facilities to pamper celebrities.

I think how you're treated and what you know changes depending on how famous you are. I think Tom Cruise absolutely knows what's going on (he's BFF with Miscavige) but he has free labor from Sea Org members to pimp out his stuff and act as a huge army to protect him from rumors and foster his career.

And most celebrities can't leave because they've gotten so much blackmail from the auditing. It's lucky that Leah never apparently did anything scandalous enough to keep her from leaving.

I remember learning, quite a number of years ago, that an actress I admired (well, I admired the character she played, anyway) was a Scientologist. I never really looked at her/her character the same way again. 

I don't know but i think it's Mike who says "Leah doesn't know this but" meaning that she and all the celebrities really have no idea of what's going on behind the scenes.

I'm guessing they're only there to get audited and to get their asses kissed.
