This show is awful! Its a documentary, not a drama

This is just a docu-drama, re-enacting history as well as its known. The acting is average, to mediocre. The narrator never shuts up, explaining whats happening in every scene, and when he finally does shut up to allow some drama, some asshat in a suit pops on screen to explain the politics of the situation. Its like watching a football game. You get 4 seconds of action and 120 seconds of idiots talking about what we just saw....over and over and over.

Yup, the show was pretty bad. I have this feeling that the 'expert' panel interviews were added later when they realized all the footage looked like a history channel documentary anyways.
The narration never filled any information gaps with the story, it just redundantly explains what we can already clearly deduce from the actors emotions and dialogue(The Sean Bean narration makes it sound important and glamorous though:)
I will say that the horde of CGI birds that seemed to be forever flying across every outdoor camera shot, deserve an academy award though:)

I liked it and hope more historical shows are made this way.
