Pretty good, but I struggled at times *SPOILERS*

I thought this was overall a good suspenseful thriller, but I struggled with liking any of the characters. Vaughn and Marcus both cannot do the right thing once the accident occurs and both are grossly negligent and careless as one goes out hunting with a massive hangover and the other high on cocaine. Additionally, all of the family members are no better than Vaughn and Marcus except for Logan. Actually Logan may be the only decent person in this film.

Brian gets all hot and puffy because Marcus slept with Kara and gave her cocaine. He vandalizes their vehicle, beats up Marcus, insults them during an "apology", and then strikes Marcus again. However, Kara is an adult, get mad at her for sleepy around all the time and doing drugs because it has obviously happened before. Iona knows this as well, but fails to warn her new found friends of the trouble surrounding Kara because she doesn't care for others. Seems to me that this corrupt family is the reason the town is in financial troubles.

Anyway, back to the main point which is that the family, although rightfully upset and grief stricken that Vaughn and Marcus accidentally killed the boy and his father, are no better than them. It is clear that Vaughn is remorseful and telling the truth over the event which any sensible person could devise from his appearance and confession. So what is the family's reaction, to kill them both in cold blood. I understand emotions would be running high, but to me, they are no better than Marcus and Vaughn. They are horrified over their relatives deaths and that Vaughn and Marcus tried to cover it up so to make amends the plan is to murder them (not accidentally) and try to cover it up. Instead of doing what is right they take the easy path and resort to murder except for Logan.

Hopefully, Vaughns' stare at the end is his realization and horror that he must confess to the police the true events of what happened and everyone involved if he is going to go on living with any peace of mind. However, this most likely is not the case as only Logan is the only character to show any morality in the film.

There was nothing in the movie to indicate that Kara's family is corrupt and the reason for the towns financial problems.

Also, although Vaughn was remorseful, he didn't confess or come clean until after he was caught and beat up.

There was also nothing to suggest the townsfolk wouldnt resort to vigilante justice. Are they just as bad as the two who killed the boy an his father? Yes, yes they are. Probably even worse, tbh.

Emotions were running through the roof and the townsfolk seemed like they don't fuck around. They had "business" with the two hunters and found a way to take care of it.

I also think Vaughn will confess one day, though. He seems like the type who's conscious would eat away at him until he says something.
Unless he's afraid of getting in trouble for double manslaughter and disposal of a corpse with intent to obstruct an investigation/justice.
