Way better than Fast & Furious Hobb's and Shaw

Fast & Furious was putting me to sleep while this one kept me to the edge of my seat with the intense action, real bullet sound effects along with the life-like tactics used.

Couple of funny moments with the green screened in president beside Putin, the father/son moment with blowing up the charges around them, the mid-credits with father/son bonding in zero gravity calm.

My only beef was when Banner crashed the semi-truck and ran into the woods. There would've been multiple helicopters flying around to get him after that fact and a big manhunt area to find him. The helis would also be equipped with FLIR to pick up his heat signature. The show would've ended there pretty much.

As much as I love the Fast & Furious movies, I did enjoy Angel Has Fallen more than Hobbs & Shaw. I'm not saying anything bad about Hobbs & Shaw. I did enjoy the movie and like it and stuff and will buy on Blu-Ray, but if I were to rank all the movies I saw in 2019, Angel Has Fallen would rank higher than Hobbs & Shaw. But I think I was more into Angel Has Fallen though because Mike Banning is my favorite Gerard Butler character. I do like the interaction between Hobbs and Shaw, but I can get more into Mike Banning than the other two and cheer for him more and stuff. So I was more into Angel Has Fallen than Hobbs & Shaw right away. Plus it sucks knowing that some Extended Cut for Hobbs & Shaw is coming to Blu-Ray when the movie is released on Blu-Ray. They even announced the Extended Cut months before the movie released. Like back in February to April 2019 sometime. So I couldn't fully get into the movie knowing that stuff was cut and I wasn't getting the "full" movie, although the Extended Cut will probably be a joke/gimmick like most of these Fast & Furious Extended Cut. Most of them just have extra blood and some extra shots and a few extra lines of dialogue. They don't really make it a whole different movie like some Extended Cuts do (I heard the Kingdom Of Heaven Extended Cut makes it a completely different movie from the theatrical cut). But it still sucks knowing months ahead of time that a Hobbs & Shaw Extended Cut is on the way when it releases for Blu-Ray. Not sure if it'll make the movie more R-rated though. But the cut of Angel Has Fallen that we get on Blu-Ray will more than likely be the cut released in theaters. So I feel I got the "full" movie of Angel Has Fallen when I saw it in the theater.

When it comes to flaws with Angel Has Fallen, my only real major problem is they revealed the mastermind/bad guy too early. They could've waited a little longer. Maybe reveal it right before the final fight, although it was easy to figure out.

You actually feel for Banning the stuff he's gone through throughout the movie series. Hobb's and Shaw are like impervious so you can't really attach anything or feel anything for them since you know they'll be fine and it's all fun and games blow shit up all the time. I guess you could say it's a different genre in a sense but it's just what I felt closest to compare it to for the movies that were out the past few months.

As for revealing at the final fight, I don't know, if the did that the president would probably be dead by then. Unless you mean the vice president then yeah, they revealed him too early. It was a nice touch since he looked all nerdy and weak looking when taking over but then when they showed his true colors he was calm, collected, and cold.

I agree it was better than Hobbs & Shaw. H&S was a pretty satisfying movie for about 30 minutes but then it started going downhill and I slowly lost interest. It's also too damn long.

The gritty R-rated action film is a rarity these days so when one comes along the shit is like crack. Action fans eat it up. For that reason, I'm pretty thankful for the Fallen series. It and John Wick have been keeping the R-rated action film alive.

The CGI in Angel has improved a lot as well. If you watch the previous like Olympus Has Fallen or London Has Fallen, you'll see that the smoke and debri CGI sucked ass. Like Made in China CGI or right around Matrix movie CGI times.

You forgot Deadpool. :D

This upcoming rated R by Travolta looks interesting.

I actually rewatched London Has Fallen just last night, and yeah, the CGI is pretty damn bad. Maybe for a direct-to-video movie it could've been excused, but not for a theatrical wide release.

The interesting thing is that Angel Has Fallen has the smallest budget of the three by a significant margin. From what I've read, after tax rebates Olympus was made for $70 million, London for $60 million and Angel for only $40 million. So it is interesting that the CGI has indeed improved so much.

I know this film supposedly wraps up the trilogy and shuffles the character off to a desk job, but I wouldn't mind seeing one more. Like I said, few studios are making hard-R action films like this today, so I hate to see the franchise go.

I've been following that Travolta movie. It looks interesting from a performance perspective but it's not really an action movie, I wouldn't say. Did you know it's directed by Fred Durst? That's weird.

Re: Deadpool, I guess we could count it, but I think of it differently since it's a CGI-heavy action-comedy.
