shareMy father was verbally, and sometimes physically, abusive to my mom and he ate very loudly at the dinner table. I think that sound probably triggered me. He was also a double dipper and stuck his dirty fingers in the pickle jar. Yuck!
shareI knew a guy who would sort through a bowl of chips with his fat fingers and dirty fingernails until he found one he liked, after having touched most of the other chips. Then he'd double-dip. I always tried to get a few before he got to the bowl, because after he got to it I couldn't bear to eat any.
