Should there have been some different coloured Oompa Loompas too?

Clearly they have gone for as much racial diversity as possible in this film but it was somewhat regrettable that all the oompa loompas appeared to have orange skin with green hair. Why not mix it up a bit if you're all about racial inclusivity? Maybe some oompa loompas with green skin and orange hair? They even set it up with the exchange earlier in the film between the girl and Wonka, when she mistakenly said green skin and orange hair. Who is to say the oompa loompas couldn't have racial variation in their own species?

The film was alright but could have been more woke for my liking.

The authors are who to say if Oompa Loompas have racial variations.

Come on…we know that’s not true

Believe it or not, the modified versions in the book were anglicized (I think it was done in the 60s, because the original Oompa-Loompas were black pygmies, and liberal groups talked Roald Dahl into changing the book).

The Oompa-Loompas in the post-60s books had golden-brown skin and hair, and were very small, like the size of Hobbits. The males usually wore animal skins, the females wore leaf skirts, and the kids wore nothing at all.

I was hoping for a small same sex scene, like two women kissing in celebration or a man saying to his boyfriend 'will you marry me?' as everyone celebrates around them. Check that LGBTQ box.
