Huge hit, $130-150m WW by Sunday! Update: $151m

Trolls bawling because it didn't flop. Funny how the Imdb rating is 7.5, but 7.1 in the US already!

Wonka will dominate with a likely $38 million domestic debut atop a roughly $50-60 million cume through Friday from existing international play, as well as another $40-50 million from new and holdover foreign markets. All told, Wonka looks toward a $130-150 million total worldwide box office by close of business Sunday.

Congrats.

Expect more unimaginative cynical franchise plunder next time.

Did you bump your head on something? Because you seem to be talking about movies you clearly don't know shit about.

Huh, so much for ‘go woke go broke’.

What is woke about this film?

To trolls, just the mere presence of nonwhite actors. They tried the same shit with Jurassic World 3.

‘Wonka’ Sweetens Pot To $150M+ Global Amid Expanded Rollout

After opening early in 37 international box office markets last weekend, Warner Bros/Village Roadshow/Heyday Films’ Wonka expanded its release this session to the rest of the world (save Korea which goes in late January). The results are sweet.

In a total 77 overseas markets, the Paul King-directed, Timothée Chalamet-starrer added another $53.6M during the sophomore session. That takes the offshore cume to $112.4M, and, with domestic, lifts global to $151.4M. In IMAX, Wonka’s global cume is $8.7M.
