I did see Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 (I can't accept calling it Endgame), but I just saw John Wick 3 and I have to say I definitely enjoyed it more than those two movies. I enjoyed it more than Infinity War. I'll still buy Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 on Blu-Ray, but as for John Wick 3, I'd go see it again in theaters and I want the Blu-Ray immediately. Plus I'm pretty sure I'll watch it more on Blu-Ray than Captain Marvel and Avengers 4. Something tells me I'll like Spider-Man: Far From Home more than Avengers 4. I'll probably enjoy the new Godzilla movie more along with Hobbs & Shaw and Angel Has Fallen. Avengers 4 just seems like a movie I have to REALLY be in the mood for to watch again. I still think Captain America: The Winter soldier, the Guardians Of The Galaxy movies, and the Ant-Man movies are better Disney MCU movies than Avengers 4. And when you throw DC superhero movies into the mix, Captain Marvel, Avengers 4, and Infinity War don't even make my top 10.

Actually, John Wick is considered a superhero movie. Pretty much if there is any kind of hero in the movie, or the main character's name is in the title of the movie, it's a superhero movie, especially if it turns into a series/franchise. A few movie sites that cover superhero/comic book movie news that I visited regularly until about 2013-2015 also covered movie news for stuff like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Fast & Furious, Expendables, and even Borelight (Twilight) and labeled them as superhero/comic book movies. So the superhero genre has done some expanding over the years. It isn't just limited to comic books anymore. Superherohype is one site I know that started expanding what they consider to be a superhero/comic book movie. I just visited the site while typing this and they cover Game Of Thrones news. So I guess that's now labeled as the superhero genre. But I remember back in the day they covered news for Harry Potter and Hunger Games and Fast & Furious and also Borelight.

*must not feed it*
Ugh, can’t do it. Bravo to you, I suppose.

Just another superhero-hating “open minded” viewer who totally doesn’t complain nonstop about their hatred for modern cinema and makes it known that they finally went to see one movie in theaters. Good for u, champ! But lemme first say, I saw this post coming a mile away — predictable af! In fact, I’d be lying if I said I couldn’t immediately tell what this post was going to contain from the subject title alone; there are significantly more posts like this one on this site than there is an excess of popular non-hetero films out there.

Well fella, this is going to mean nada to you, but I saw Parabellum and all those films you so maturely called out (plenty of other films this year that weren’t based on superheroes, too), and... yup, I fucking loved them all. *gasps* They are pure cinema. (Captain Marvel>Shazam btw.)

It is only a matter of time before Mr. Wick himself joins one of these uncool films anyway. How is your crowd going to react to that? I can already see the lazy paycheck arguments, but all the respected talent involved with these non-1950’s standards films couldn’t care less about the petty negative things the outnumbered naysayers have to say about these non-Westboro Baptist approved films. But ah, detractors of superhero/comic book films (or MCU films in general). So high and mighty and... kool. XD Evidently you don’t see it, albeit these types of films have come a long way and they no longer attract just a single demographic/fanbase. Still, as a matter of course what is popular and held in high esteem can’t be without its haters.... everyone from pompous film snobs to “I ain’t no nerd!” douchebros who apparently only watch real manly films. Pointless it is to even respond to this, yet here we are.

Those sharing your views, a few might perhaps sound less immature than you, will give you pats on the back with the superhero trashing. Others will say they like these non-prejudiced films in general, although they failed to see what all the fuzz was about when it came to recent big/praised superhero films (Avengers 4> every DC movie in history, not just those from the still below average DCEU universe). I must tell you though, I’m glad to have an appreciation for all kinds of films... new, old, mainstream, indie, animated, blockbusters, etc. The myopic backwards likes of you? You clearly live to avoid most new movies and constantly bash what’s popular. How noteworthy and kewl. XD

At any rate, these beloved Mike Pence-disapproved films (there is rarely 6 or more a year - compare that to films from virtually every other goddamn genre out there) aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, so your proudly ignorant (“let’s pretend there’s nothing but superhero movies!”) and ostentatious superhero-hating crowd is going to be whining for years to come. Hehehe...
