What does this scene mean?
If I understood correctly, the film wants to portray the erotic practices shown in a positive light, and towards the end of the film Professor Marston pleads for more understanding and tolerance.
However, I don’t understand the scene in which a member of the “baby party” is spanked, because the member looks anything but happy; to me, she seems rather unhappy and frightened. Why does the film plead for more understanding on the one hand, and show such a scene on the other?
