Erik and Lyle...

I don't think they deserved life in prison. They were two boys emotional, physically and sexually abused all their lives. They truly believed their parents were going to kill them so out of fear, they killed their parents. I'm not saying killing is right but, I truly believe that Erik and Lyle should have gotten extensive therapy to deal with the traumas of their childhood....I feel bad for both of them...

reply

They deserve to rot in jail. Their stories about abuse are complete bullshit, they didn't mention it until years after the murders not long before their trial started. It was all the idea of their lawyer. It's just a coincidence of course that one of the brothers had written a script about a guy murdering his parents for the inheritance like one year before the murders.

reply

I think the media persuaded people in believing that Lyle and Erik killed for money. They were already rich and this was normal spending for them. You never know what happens behind closed doors. Honestly in my heart, I don't think they made up the story of being abused. I believe them.

reply

Their FATHER was rich and he was about to cut them off because they refused to make something of their lives. The stuff they bought after the murders were not things they normally bought when their parents were still alive. Like a Porsche Lyle bought to replace the despised Alfa Romeo his father gave him. They even bought a restaurant. They spent almost a million dollars in 2 months! Don't be so blind!

reply

Okay but how do you explain the naked pictures of the boys when they were younger? That's just disgusting!!!

reply

Have you seen the actual pictures? They were never described as being sexual in any way. I also have pictures of myself butt naked.

reply

when you were a child or an adult? I think a parent taking pictures of their children directly at their private areas does not seem right.

reply

When I was a young child, just like the Menendez brothers. You're a sick psycho. Are you saying my parents are pedo's? Countless of people have pictures of themselves as kids in the bathtub or running around on the beach or in the garden while naked. It's perfectly normal.

reply

Please, let's not get into an argument with each other. I am not a sick person or a psycho. I too have pictures of me when I was little taking bubble baths. I thought the pictures were directly of their private areas (for a lack of a better term). My comments have nothing to do with you or your parents; absolutely nothing to do with them. I'm sure your parents are very lovely people and I'm sure you are a very lovely person too. I'm very sorry you took my comments personally. I didn't mean to stir this conversation in this direction; that was never my intentions....Plus, I never mentioned your parents in any of my posts; I was referring to the Erik and Lyle's parents.

reply

You didn't mention my parents specifically, but you did say that parents taking nude pictures of their children is not right. My parents are just fine people. As far as I know, those pictures were of their whole bodies with just the heads cropped. I don't think many of us have seen these pictures, so we don't know what they looked like or what their context was. The prosecution argued the brothers themselves or another child took the pictures because of the angle and focus. If they had really looked that inappropriate, I'm not sure if the second jury would've convicted them and I think the media at the time would've made a much bigger deal out of them.

reply

Again, when I made my posts, your parents didn't even enter my mind. I was only making the comments about the show and Erik and Lyle's situation. This has absolutely nothing to do with you or your family and I'm sure your parents are very wonderful. Please don't think that these posts had anything to do with you. I don't even know you.

reply

I'm glad you explained you weren't talking about parents in general.

reply

You are one hostile person.

reply

The other poster edited their post, so you probably shouldn't talk about things you know nothing about. You're one rude and meddlesome person. Maybe contribute something to the conversation instead of making one-off insults.

A great lawyer once said that if you are going to get out of a murder
conviction you have to show that the person "needed killing". I thought
that was a pretty revolutionary idea at the time, but it's true, some
people need or deserve killing ... but if you do it, it has to be a
necessity.

reply

Yes, they both had troublesome childhoods indeed. Weisberg disliked Abrahamson, immensely it seems. Either way it is still very sad.

reply

Thank you for agreeing with me. I read that the actors who played Erik and Lyle believe that the real Erik and Lyle deserve parole; I agree. I think they suffered enough....

reply

You are correct, and said it best in the OP. ty 4 not being so callous and judgmental like others on this thread ;)

reply

Yes, I agree. I was very judged by one of the posters on this board. It was very hurtful; he didn't even apologize to me. :/

reply

goes to show what type of person they are... i read it all, and you were greatly composed considering how annoying this poster treated you! take care! :)

reply

Thanks!!! You take care too! :)

reply

Oh please, you freaking sock puppet! You know very well "the other poster" edited their post and seemed to imply my parents are sickos. If anyone's rude it's you talking about people behind their back.πŸ–•

reply

I was being hurtful to you??? You forgot you seemed to imply shit about my parents before you edited your post. I had every right to be pissed off. And all this time I thought you were an okay person...😐

reply

"not being so callous and judgmental like others on this thread"

The pot calling the kettle black. You're being callous and judgmental right there.

reply

Thanks to everyone in this thread who helped me laugh about those two lovable knuckleheads.

Here's some court footage that unequivocally proves their innocence:

Begs the question why you permit corporate websites to identify your location.

I use a vpn anyway so it would make no difference. Just can't be bothered to change it just to view a website.

A very good show, wish they would stream it to get more people to watch it.
