Unpleasant to watch.
The movie features a naked, feral woman covered in her own feces kept in her basement, shot horror-movie style. Those scenes seriously clash tonally with the rest of the movie. You get the sense the movie was originally planned to be much more low-key and safe, maybe PG-rated if it were released in theaters. Maybe originally, she was still clean and clothed, and the basement was happy and well-lit, not scary at all, with her being a well-behaved, domesticated pet, with a comedic "suburban-life" feel to the movie, but this cut didn't work. So they hastily re-shot the basement scenes for shock value, and added insanity-inducing banging drums to every other scene that didn't need it. So in an attempt to save the movie, they ended up wrecking it.
