How is season 2 so far ??
Season 1 wasn't bad just a little weird at times.
shareI think season 2 is a bore. Season one was so much better. Yes, it was a bit insane, but it held my attention. Now, in this season, the detective (Pullman) is sooooooo boring. What happened to his wacked out private life in season one? All of a sudden his is a choir boy?
The kid playing the main role is very good. But the storyline is a snoozefest.
So no mention of the S&M stuff from Season 1 ??
shareNot a peep. The showed one brief shot of his unbruised fingernails and that was it. So boring. Even his side kick the cop is boring. They all seem like they are on zanax.
shareTied up in the last episode. Carrie Coon’s character gives him the tape of their session from the cabin. As she drills him for what he wants he moves her hand to his throat as if to choke him. His mother was depressed but not violent. He started the fire that got her committed for the rest of her life and could never tell anyone. He turned to S&M to punish himself during a most pleasurable experience out of guilt, not deserving it. Now we get the picture of how he senses the pain and guilt of the two perpetrators in each season and his quest for the whole story.
shareWatchable but much weaker than season 1.
shareI found season 1 much better.
Season 2, the acting good but I found it boring.
I think for me season 1 was interesting because it was focused on why she murdered the guy on the beach and the whole story was complex. You figured out one thing and it added another 2 questions.
Season 2 didn't really focus on why the kid did what he did. There were reasons in there but the story focused on his mother and her no longer a cult cult. There were no surprises because it was obvious.
